Welcome to DATAMASK's Privacy Policy. This document outlines how we collect and process your data when you purchase DATAMASK via the marketplace where DATAMASK is made available ("Marketplace"). In this policy, references to "we," "us," "our," and "SoftServe" pertain to SoftServe, Inc., a legal entity incorporated under the laws of Delaware.

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION

      We gather personal information you voluntarily provide when you contact us at datamask@softserveinc.com for support related to DATAMASK or other SoftServe offerings available on Marketplace. This information may encompass your name, email address, company name, and the content of your communication.

    2. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

      SoftServe doesn’t automatically collect any data when you use DATAMASK.

      IMPORTANT: SoftServe doesn’t collect, access, monitor, manage, or under any circumstances process the data entered by you into DATAMASK ("DATAMASK File").

    3. INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTIES

      We obtain contact information from Marketplace upon your DATAMASK purchase. This may include your name, work email, job title, company, country/region, and phone number. Moreover, Marketplace may provide us with transaction details and your DATAMASK usage information for operational purposes.

  2. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    We process personal information under legal bases, including contract, consent, legitimate interest, and legal obligation.

    • Contract

      SoftServe processes personal information that is essential for providing you with DATAMASK. This occurs when you request the product on the Marketplace or initiate a support ticket to address your inquiries or acquire additional information about DATAMASK or other SoftServe offerings available on the Marketplace.

    • Consent

      SoftServe may process your personal information based on your provided consent. This includes scenarios where your personal data is utilized for marketing purposes, such as presenting SoftServe's products and services that align with your interests. Remember that you retain the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

    • Legitimate interest

      SoftServe processes your personal information based on our legitimate interests, provided that such processing is not overridden by your interests, rights, and freedoms. This includes activities such as preventing fraud, enhancing the user experience, and utilizing transactional and usage details shared by Marketplace to improve our services, analyze usage patterns, and manage our business operations.

    • Legal obligation

      SoftServe may process your personal information as required to fulfill legal obligations and adhere to ongoing regulatory and compliance requirements. This encompasses activities such as disclosures to tax authorities, other regulatory bodies, and government entities.

  3. SHARING & DISCLOSURE

    We may share your personal information with our affiliate companies who may act for us for any of the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including our current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership and with third-party providers for services like customer relationship management, marketing, and customer support. These third parties may only process information about you to perform services on SoftServe’s behalf. They are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data breach where we are legally required to do so.

    IMPORTANT: Kindly note that you (or your employer, if applicable) bear full responsibility for the following tasks:

    • Configuring Virtual Machine
    • Ensuring encryption measures
    • Encrypting data sources
    • Establishing connections between data sources and DATAMASK
    • Defining and configuring obfuscation algorithms for each data attribute
    • Managing both partially and fully masked datasets within and beyond DATAMASK
    • Implementing essential security and privacy controls
  6. RETENTION

    We retain your personal information solely as long as needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Afterward, we will either delete or archive it, unless legal obligations or other valid reasons necessitate its continued retention.

    For activities dependent on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by directly contacting us. Such withdrawal won't impact the legality of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal. Additionally, you can opt out of email subscriptions by using the designated button in our email communications to you.

  7. CHILDREN`S PRIVACY PROTECTION

    DATAMASK is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect the personal information of children under 16.

  8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

    We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on this page.
