By the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine SoftServe has developed a technological solution for the project "Plus 1"
The key elements of the project are exhibition photo stands and an interactive website developed pro bono by SoftServe.
The authors of the stories are well-known artists, journalists, public activists, writers, including: Yuriy Andrukhovych, Vasyl Shklyar, Oleksandr Irvanets, Tamara Horikha Zernya, Larysa Denysenko and 16 other authors. Their author's texts can be found on the project website.
«Each of the fallen soldiers left something behind. We have been collecting stories, essays and poems from leading Ukrainian artists, journalists and activists since 2016. Each author interviewed a member of the fallen soldier family and turned the memory of the hero's life into a real piece of art," said Marina Lukyanova, project director and editor.
The author of the photos is Yuri Bilak, a famous French photographer of Ukrainian origin. The animated relic in the pictures is a family artefact that reflects a kind of continuation of the person missing in the photo.
«It is our duty as a socially responsible business to support communities where they most need it. We are grateful to the soldiers who protect our peaceful life. Remembering the fallen is the least but the necessary thing we can do for our defenders and their families,” said Mariia Kucherenko, head of PR and CSR practices at SoftServe.
From every beginning of Russia's armed aggression, the company's associates have joined the production of drones for the army. The “Open Eyes” Corporate Charity Fund donated equipment to the army and volunteers: communications equipment, optical devices, cars, computers, etc.; co-financed the training of soldiers in tactical medicine, organized the purchase of ambulances, financed the creation of a water rehabilitation center for ATO soldiers and helped the soldiers' children.
On October 1, SoftServe's Charity Fund “Open Eyes” will open the Veterans Service Center in Lviv, the first inclusive space in Ukrainian university. At the center, veterans, servicemen who have returned from Anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine or other military operations will be able to resocialize and integrate into the educational process, as well as receive the necessary psychological assistance.
