SoftServe Enhances IT Career Opportunities for Local Communities with EmpowerU Program

LVIV, Ukraine – April 21, 2023 – SoftServe has announced the launch of EmpowerU, a comprehensive global program at the intersection of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and IT education. This CSR initiative provides a life-changing opportunity to a global, diverse community, including women, people with disabilities, veterans, refugees, and others, by offering IT training and further career development.

EmpowerU features free IT courses supported by SoftServe Academy, the company's internal acceleration center. The program is designed for those new to IT, regardless of existing knowledge or programming experience. EmpowerU also offers participants mentoring support and networking opportunities.

A fundamental understanding of information technology can be the bridge to life-changing opportunities. Developing these skills contributes to digital equality and deeper confidence in using emerging technology. With 55 offices in 14 countries, EmpowerU allows SoftServe to give back to the communities they serve. Local participants gain valuable training and skills that position them to pursue a career in tech.

SoftServe will initially roll out the program in Mexico, Colombia, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria. In addition, future plans for EmpowerU include strategic partnerships with global organizations that support the interests of a diverse global community.
