SoftServe Launched DevOps Fundamentals Course for Veterans, Defenders, and Their Families

During the course, participants will learn the basics of DevOps, a methodology that combines development (Dev) and operations processes (Ops) to accelerate and improve software programming. DevOps is one of the most in-demand technological professions in Ukraine’s IT sector, according to the data collected by DOU media. Participants of the course will learn how to work with databases, customize the work environment, and optimize project deployment. By mastering these skills, future DevOps specialists will be able to implement changes seamlessly and automate processes at every stage of the development lifecycle.

“We decided to launch the course focusing especially on DevOps, as many Ukrainian defenders often deal with networks and system administration during their service,” says Andrii Pereymybida, Talent Acceleration Center Director at SoftServe. “The program offers participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and better prepare to a career as DevOps engineers. For graduates of our previous ‘Database Fundamentals’ course, this is also an excellent opportunity to continue their learning journey.”

The course is designed based on the huge expertise of SoftServe Academy and provides access to additional learning resources, a community of like-minded people, soft skills development, and mentors’ support. The lectures will start on February 3. Experienced SoftServe mentors will provide lectures twice a week. The course consists of theoretical fundamentals, practical tasks, and homework. All lessons will be recorded. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.

“DevOps Fundamentals” is the fourth course implemented within SoftServe’s global EmpowerU program in Ukraine. The initiative started in April 2023 and covers Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Mexico, and Colombia.
