SoftServe & Pink Box’s Menstruation Academy included a Top 25 health-driven startups by Forbes Women & SEXEDPL for innovation & impact

WARSAW, Poland (23 April, 2025)SoftServe, a premier IT consulting and digital services provider, today announced that the “Menstruation Academy”, developed in collaboration with the Pink Box Foundation, has been named one of the Top 25 Health-Driven Startups by Forbes Women & SEXEDPL.

Pink Box, a Polish nonprofit fighting exclusion and menstrual taboo to create an innovative, partnered with OpenTech to develop a digital platform that reimagines how individuals learn about their bodies. It offers information that’s not only fact-checked and medically sound, but also deeply empathetic.

What truly drives our team is the belief that technology should serve people and empower communities,
said Aleksandra Gogol, Project Manager at SoftServe and OpenTech volunteer.
Our volunteers are deeply committed — from UX designers to software engineers — and they’re building this platform hand-in-hand with Pink Box to ensure it’s both impactful and accessible. This project proves that tech for good is not just possible, but essential.

Though countless individuals experience biological cycles that shape their health and daily lives, access to quality education on the topic remains inconsistent and often cloaked in discomfort or shame. Recognizing this urgent educational gap, the Pink Box Foundation launched the Menstruation Academy platform, powered by OpenTech.

It provides a trusted, interactive environment where users can explore medically informed content, ask questions without fear, and find community in shared experience. Designed as a dynamic digital learning hub, the platform combines practical guidance with expert insight, making it easier for users to understand what’s happening in their bodies — and why it matters.

The project is already well underway, with a functioning prototype and curated educational content in place. The official launch of the Menstrual Academy is planned for September 2025. Even before its release, the initiative has already begun to spark important conversations and inspire action across Poland — and it’s catching international attention.
