SoftServe Romania Wins ESG Program of the Year Award by ANIS

The "Driving Sustainability" project, launched in 2023, focuses on cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improving operational efficiency. Over 18 months, the project successfully implemented energy-saving technologies, reducing energy consumption and significantly lowering the company’s carbon footprint. Achievements include a 43% reduction in Scope 1 emissions and a 46% decrease in Scope 2 emissions. By analyzing real-time data on electricity, gas, diesel, and water usage, SoftServe identified inefficiencies and implemented targeted resource-saving initiatives. These efforts not only reduced environmental impact but also ensured regulatory compliance and facilitated a culture of sustainability within the company.

SoftServe integrates Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics into its core business strategy. The company tracks its progress with a GHG inventory system and has achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification, demonstrating a continuous commitment to environmental sustainability.

In addition to environmental advancements, SoftServe prioritizes social responsibility, focusing on mental well-being, diversity, and inclusion. Its Dare to Care Mental Well-Being Program and active support for Ukraine exemplify the company’s commitment to its employees and the community.

The ANIS “IT Industry Excellence Awards” honor achievements across eight categories, from innovation to education, to recognize excellence in the Romanian IT landscape.

Earlier, SoftServe Romania sponsored the Big Data grant at the ANIS Grants program, which provides funding to young Romanian academics who research and develop innovative methods in university education.
