Why

This session is designed for those who want to learn how to automate IT tasks and simplify their work using Ansible. We will start by covering the basics of Ansible: how it works, how to write playbooks, and how to manage infrastructure configurations. Participants will learn to use inventory files, modules, and ad-hoc commands for automating everyday tasks.

Next, we will explore the concept of roles for creating reusable automation and learn how to organize these roles into collections for scalability. We will also cover advanced topics such as Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Automation Hub, and how to use plugins to extend Ansible's capabilities.

By the end of the session, participants will have a solid foundation in using Ansible to create consistent, efficient, and scalable automation workflows.

About the Speaker

Florentiu Ilie is a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Red Hat technologies and automation, certified as an RHCE and AWS Solutions Architect Associate. He has extensive experience in Linux system administration, specializing in Red Hat and SUSE environments, and is skilled in leveraging Ansible for rapid deployment solutions. Florentiu focuses on creating high availability solutions for SAP and HANA servers, as well as automating operational processes across on-premises and cloud environments.

Florentiu is also a passionate trainer, having provided numerous internal and external technical courses on Linux, Ansible, scripting, and high availability with Pacemaker. He is committed to sharing his knowledge and mentoring teams, helping others develop robust automation and infrastructure solutions.
